When you get your Sailteck out of its box, the compass is set to display compass, timer and time of day, which are allowed in virtually all classes. Yes you can lock the compass so that it doesn't display the tactics display, see user guide on "products page". Please note that the compass needs to have the settings you want (e.g. set up your Sailteck without tactic mode enabled)
If the battery is less than 50% charged, you will see a LOW BAT warning at power up and power down. To our knowledge, no one has ever seen this message since the integrated solar panel generates more power than the electronics need.

The mast bracket can be attached using the slug, straps, or screws provided. It offers a 45mm x 90mm pulley area, ensuring a wide range compatibility of mast sizes and shapes. Mast bracket extender is available if you need more room (eg 29er).
