LINE DISTANCE
For classes in which line pinging is permitted, the world’s most accurate line distance system offers a significant edge on the competition. It’s easy to use and useful for training in all classes (this feature can be disabled by switching to the grey keymat).
Waterproof
Sailteck’s proven design is totally waterproof. With a single seal Sailteck has no weak links and is unique amongst alternatives to be continuously submersible at 20m. Sailteck floats.
Shock proof
Sailteck’s electronics are fully encapsulated inside the plastic housing and mounted on rubber shock absorbers. There is no exposed glass. The mechanics provide a triple shock protection, first the bezel, then the inner plastics, and the rubber mounts.
Pinpoint GPS Precision
Sailteck’s receiver works with over 30 satellites from 4 independent constellations. Unlike other receivers which have to use a small thin antenna to fit into their housing, Sailteck’s uses a large sky-facing patch antenna giving far greater sensitivity. This elminiates the risk of drop-outs or sudden loss in precision and provides far superior accuracy and positioning reliability.

Two keypads for adjustable class legality.
The GPS compass is supplied with two keypads, red and grey. Simply swap the keypads to comply with class rules. For classes that allow GPS while racing, the red keymat provides full functionality including the display of speed and line distance.
For other classes, the grey keymat provides the same functionality as the universally class-legal Race Compass, whilst enabling GPS track logging, track sharing, and committee race management.
Changing the keypads takes only a moment and doesn’t impact the water integrity since the keypad sits outside the seal.
