Sailteck uses latest-generation high-efficiency cells. The large solar panel ensures robust performance in all weathers and Sailteck’s power production exceeds its power requirement even in the rain. This means you can count on reliable operation without needing to resort to external charging.
Compass accurate to 1°
with no recalibration needed
Sailteck’s factory calibration is second-to-none. Other manufacturers claim a precision of 1°, which simply means their displays repeat the same reading.
Accuracy, however, means the reading is actually correct – that the heading you see is the heading you’re sailing.
Inside each Sailteck, the magnetic sensor has a separation barrier from the battery so that magnetisation during transport does not affect the factory calibration. This means that there is no need to recalibrate a Sailteck.
Easy to read even with polaroid sunglasses
For effortless wind-shift detection, digit size and contrast matter and Sailteck's 30mm digit height is the maximum allowed under class rules. The display features an additional polariser which remixes the orientation of the light ensuring visibility with polaroid sunglasses.

Sailteck uses high durability toughened engineering plastics creating a lightweight strong housing which is resistant to UV. Sailteck uses a high temperature battery technology to provide ultra-long life.
Easy-to-use countdown
The user interface is pure simplicity, a single press of the GO button starts or resynchronises the countdown. If you only catch at the 4 minute or 1 minute gun, you can adjust the minutes without having to stop the countdown, simply by pressing the left button.
